Yesterday, Bai Jiaming, chairman of Dongguan Changding Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., received a banner and a thank-you letter from Jiao Zhenyu, a third-grade girl from Biyang County, Henan Province. The letter stated: "Uncle Bai has a heart of gold, giving me light and hope, allowing me to complete my studies without worries. Your kindness is like timely help in the snow, making me feel the warmth of spring."

Jiao Zhenyu, a poor girl from a low-income household, comes from a single-parent family and is the head of the household. Her mother, Jiao Li, is disabled. They live in the Gucheng Community of the Gucheng Street Office in Biyang County. The mother and daughter rely on each other. In their small rented room, there is only a wooden bed for them to sleep on and simple cooking utensils. In recent years, her mother has been hospitalized due to diabetes, lumbar disease, and severe hypertension. She has medical proof of chronic illness and cannot go without medication throughout the year. In 2021, her mother suffered another car accident and now has difficulty walking, still using crutches. Her left leg and knee cannot bend, with two steel plates and 12 steel nails that have not been removed. The mother and daughter have no source of income and rely solely on low-income support to survive.

In a chance encounter in 2022, Bai Jiaming, chairman of Dongguan Changding Industrial Co., Ltd., a Communist Party member, a well-known entrepreneur, a representative of the Biyang County People's Congress, and vice president of the Dongguan Henan Chamber of Commerce, learned about the situation of Jiao Zhenyu, a girl in distress in Biyang. He was included in the funding targets and has donated 13,500 yuan of love so far. Bai Jiaming stated: "As long as this girl Jiao Zhenyu excels in both character and studies, and strives to improve, I will continue to support her until she graduates from university."

Bai Jiaming was once a worker. He traveled outside for more than 20 years, sleeping under overpasses and working as a security guard. Later, he started his own business from scratch. After achieving success in his career, he fell in love with his hometown and often donated to help it. In his own words, "I am a person from Biyang; no matter how far I go, my roots are here, and I will never forget that I am a Communist Party member."

Bai Jiaming, the son of a farmer from Wangdian Village in Wangdian Town, Biyang County, dropped out of school at a young age due to poverty. He was unwilling to be ordinary with a grassroots background. He went south alone to fight for a living, transitioning from having nothing to helping the poor; from a nominal migrant worker to the founder of a company, leading employees to prosper together. Bai Jiaming has written the meaning of life struggle with his achievements.

For more than 20 years, Bai Jiaming has been engaged in charity work, helping the poor through various platforms, donating to education, and providing batches of living and learning materials for lonely elderly people, left-behind children, and out-of-school children in impoverished mountainous areas, building libraries, and providing financial assistance. Especially in recent years, with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bai Jiaming quickly coordinated and organized various social resources to donate several batches of epidemic prevention supplies to the local government and the people of his hometown. As of now, Bai Jiaming's donations have exceeded 400 million yuan.
